Bainbridge’s Housing Resources Board has hired Mark Blatter as its new executive director. Blatter took the reins from departing executive director Ken Balizer on Jan. 20. Blatter worked most recently as the real estate development director for Historic Seattle Preservation and Development Authority. There, he spent 10 years helping to rehabilitate historic buildings for various community group and business uses. In the late 1990s, he served as executive director of the St. Andrew’s Housing Group, a nonprofit that developed affordable housing in east King County.
