MHA continues to be driving force in Utica’s neighborhoods

The Utica Municipal Housing Authority has become a major force in the city’s neighborhoods, having built 51 houses and 109 apartment units as part of the HOPE VI project. That project wrapped up several years ago, and the authority and its development subsidiary, Rebuild Mohawk Valley, currently are completing several other high-profile projects. About $19.4 million in public funds is being spent, not including private matching funds.
