New Balance’s massive office, hotel and sports complex in Brighton won’t be built on a shoestring budget: the project will cost a whopping half-billion dollars. The company’s New Brighton Landing LLC disclosed the price tag for the first time in a newly released filing with the Boston Redevelopment Authority. The fully built project will have 1.5 million square feet of space — including a new corporate headquarters on Guest Street, a sports complex with a track and NHL-regulation hockey rink, a 175-room hotel, up to three office buildings, and shops and restaurants throughout the 14-acre development. The project will create about 400 full-time construction jobs, 600 peak construction jobs and 3,000 permanent jobs. In the new filing, the company noted financial benefits to the city include $12.5 million in annual property taxes and $10.5 million for affordable housing.
