The Fresno Housing Authoritys mission is to create and sustain communities throughout Fresno County. To do this, FH has served as the affordable housing provider to the City of Fresno and 18 other Fresno County communities for almost 70 years. Today, FH provides housing programs to over 16,000 families under a variety of programs including conventional Low Income Public Housing, Housing Choice Vouchers, Section 42 Low Income Housing, Tax Credits, Migrant Services, Farm Labor Housing, Emergency Housing, and others. In addition to rental assistance, the Housing Authority operates programs that help qualified Fresno residents purchase a first home or repair existing homes as well as trains residents to improve their employability and economic self-sufficiency.

The Fresno Housing Authority is seeking a highly qualified professional for the Director of Finance position. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting; or a closely related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Experience should include at least ten years of progressive responsibility in finance and supervision, public housing finance/accounting experience, knowledge of real estate development and property management is desirable. The incumbent will provide leadership and coordination directing the Agency programs of internal financial reporting, external financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, general accounting, fixed assets, inventory, budgeting and forecasting. The incumbent will manage Agency funds and be accountable for the development and implementation of a fiscal plan that maximizes the funds available for the Agency’s use in accomplishing its goals and objectives.
