Just weeks away from the 2012 presidential election, housing continues to receive little attention on the campaign trail. “We’re coming out of one of the worst recessions in a generation, with housing squarely in the bull’s-eye. Ironically while both parties have made fixing the single-family collapse a component of their platforms, neither candidate talks about housing on the stump or in their campaign ads,” says Doug Bibby, president of the National Multi Housing Council.
