Erie Housing Authority awards $6.1 million in contracts

The Erie Housing Authority has awarded more than $6.1 million in contracts for capital work, much of it aimed at cutting utility costs and increasing energy efficiency. About $4.8 million will be spent in the authority’s family developments throughout the city on projects that include new roofing, siding and windows, electrical panel box replacement, bathroom improvements and parking area resurfacing. The authority’s senior buildings will also receive some attention. The authority also will install interior air conditioning for corridors and insulate the boiler room at Ostrow Apartments.
