The Charlotte Housing Authority’s new chief executive and president is on the job here after a six-year stint with the Pittsburgh Housing Authority.
For A. Fulton Meachem Jr., the Charlotte job was an opportunity to return to his home state of North Carolina. The 43-year-old Greensboro native was previously the top executive at the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh. He started in his new role Oct. 1. He replaces Charles Woodyard, who announced his resignation in September after he accepted the CEO post at the Chicago Housing Authority.
