PMHA Executive Director steps down after 24 years

Making sure the senior residents of Brown Circle Drive in Crooksville have been taken care of has been a top priority for Sandy Harper, who retired as Executive Director of the Perry Metropolitan Housing Authority on Oct. 31.

When Sandy announced her retired earlier this year, the Board of Directors wasted no time in finding someone who could step up to the challenge. On Aug. 9 Mike Hankinson began as the new Executive Director.

Sandy felt very confident with the boards decision when they hired Mike, as he served as the Crooksville Schools Treasurer for 25 years. Mike also has served as the New Lexington Schools Interim Treasurer, worked at the State Auditor’s Office-Assistant Auditor for two years and at the Perry County Auditor’s Office as a Deputy Auditor for five years.
